We launched a year-long campaign showcasing "data philanthropy" — the concept of donating data for public research to fuel actionable climate solutions. Partnering with the United Nations, we hosted a data innovation challenge supporting the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
Over 450 data science teams participated, with winning solutions presented to global leaders at COP23, thus solidifying Western Digital's position as a tech innovator and demonstrating how increased data access can address global issues.
